Candy Variations

The amount of dislike I have for candy equals the amount of liking I have for photographs that resemble candy. They both have that kindred spirit of the beauty and the beast.



The photo of the containers was taken in Istanbul.

Titled for now "The beauty and the Beast"

I took the above photo at Robert Moses beach 2 summers ago at the beginning of the summer and the below photo at Atlantic Beach towards the end of the same summer. It is not always easy to capture the beach, the beach goers and the sun tan that they are harvesting, the beauty and the beast, a two-headed monster we become once liberated from the standards of normality imposed by the urbanity.

I havent yet made public this series which I am probably the most intrigued by among the many that are in my hard drive photo library.

image 1: this is a funny tribute to / investigation of the balloon dog. why should the skin always wrap around the structure, it seems so much more the creative other way around.

image 2: it would have been great to see this smoke cloud. why don't we make these clouds everyday? looks just as refreshing, puffy and organic as a tree and a jelly fish, plus it disappears!

image 3: great wedding dress and a fabulous idea for wedding food. why don't I ever get invited to a tamales and hot dogs wedding at a gas station?

image 4: i like her very much because she dresses straight up my alley and has this strength of character only seen in a woman who walks the way she does in incredible pumps. why don't you google Chloe Sevigny?

image 5: why did i never think about half blind folding my brother in a picture? maybe it is because we don't have freckles.

Glittery Fleshy Curves

There is something post glamourous about this space. Plasters and marble remind me of old ladies in their strapless ballgowns and bedazzles.
